80m Band 4 Element Delta Loop Beam

This is the third in the series of 80m Band Delta-Loop beam antennas that I have designed for Jack, KZ4USA.

It’s a natural progression of the 3 Element version and gives a slightly better forward gain and F/B ratio.

Loop Dimensions:

Polarisation: Vertical
Wire Diameter: 2.5mm
Height at peak: 14m
Length of wires 4, 1 & 7: 40m
Length of all other wires: 23.8537m

The antenna is fed at the corner junction of wires 4 & 5.
(Driven Element)

Distance between Loops quoted from the driven element:

Loop consisting of wires 10,11 & 12 is 27m from the driven element
Loop consisting of wires 7,8&9 is 17m from the driven element
Loop consisting of wires 1,2 & 3 is 6m from the driven element.

Note: Wires 1,4,7 & 10 are exactly 1m above the ground.

Forward Gain: 6.42dBi@24°,  6.35dBi@21°, 6.15dBi@18° & 5.75dBi@15°

F/B Ratio: 15.76dB

Note: All calculations made using “Average”
ground conductivity figures.
